INTRODUCTION
The Transpetrol Foundation (TPF) was established in 2005 as a Bermudian company limited by guarantee to carry out charitable and socially beneficial causes. It is run by a volunteer board and supports or initiates projects in most parts of the world in the fields of economic enterprise, social welfare, relief of poverty, and education. Its purpose is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of as many deprived and disadvantaged people as possible.
TPF provides funding for relatively small projects with long-term strategies in the areas detailed under PROJECTS. Many initiatives supported have been through an intermediary organisation, but we strongly believe in the involvement of a local implementing organisation and wish to encourage this by seeking projects instigated by local organisations.
Since 2011 we aim to focus mainly on projects in the economic enterprise priority area, as we believe that it will enable a bigger social impact.
