INTRODUCTION
The Transpetrol Foundation (TPF) is a Bermudian non-profit organisation which was established in 2004. It is run by a volunteer board and its aim is to support (or initiate) projects worldwide in the fields of economic enterprise, social welfare, relief of poverty, and education. Its purpose is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of as many deprived and disadvantaged people as possible.
TPF provides funding for relatively small projects with long-term strategies in the areas detailed under PROJECTS. Over the years the majority of initiatives we have supported have been through an intermediary (funding) organisation, but as we strongly believe in the involvement of a local implementing organisation and wish to encourage this, we particularly seek to support projects directly with the implementing organisation.
Since 2011 we aim to focus mainly on projects in the economic enterprise priority area, as we believe that it will enable us to encourage a bigger social impact.
